somebody left pbs on in the living room so when i went out to get a beverage, i was momentarily captivated by the children’s programming.

there was this animated hamster on the tv asking the children a question. he wanted us to guess what he was describing. his first clue was: “you can find refrigerators here - but it’s not the kitchen!”

at this point, my superior intellect had already led me to the correct answer: a grocery store. but i waited all the same. his next clue mentioned fresh vegetables… and that’s where everything went wrong.

because he didn’t finish. the hamster got stuck on vegetables. he talked about how crunchy they were and how much he liked to eat them.

“no,” i said to the television. “no, you’re getting off track.” i walked closer to the screen, urging the hamster with my eyes to go back to the original question - the riddle that so many children were doubtlessly curious about. but the hamster was relentless. he would not give up his ode to vegetables. and then… he was gone.

i knelt to the floor, touching the tv screen softly with my fingertips. “it was a grocery store,” i whispered.

it was a grocery store.

Theres a lot more then two dimensions to the characters and their relationships. Though they may not be blatantly gay, there are detectable under tones. Even if you don’t agree, what sense is there is publically judging the people who are passionate about these pairings? Who put copious amounts of work into amazing art work, wonderfully written fan fictions and in depth analysis’. You are more then welcome to your own views, it’s perfectly understandable that these pairings aren’t for everyone but it’s just respectful that you should show some level of tolerance to other side of the argument, don’t be so quick to judge what others put a lot of their lives into.  I could sit here writing paragraphs and paragraphs as to why you should see things differently, but i’m not going to, all I ask is that you try to understand rather then demonize.
